In keeping with tradition by others, namely, www.PinchOfYum.com, www.loveveggiesandyoga.com, and others, I’m going to share resources as to how this blog comes together. There are several pieces that go into a blog, and why not share what I’ve done to make it easier?
Starting Your Own Blog Resources:
Here are a few pages of how to start your own blog. I originally had this in 3 parts, but decided it would be better broken down to more specific steps. I’ve also added a few other resources pages, such as camera and lighting pages, as well as general technology pages. These pages are most of the general steps in starting your own blog.

Google Analytics is a powerful tool that can be used to figure out who’s visiting your website, how they came to your website, what search terms they used, and what pages they viewed. I’ve covered the basics of GA here:

I have several vendors that I have used over the past 20 years. If you are looking for great deals on great products, please check out these vendors. NOTE: I am not responsible for the vendors performance. If you run into trouble with a particular vendor, please let me know and I’ll take another look at them. * Also note that some of these are affiliate links and I may earn a commission if you purchase products. But the reason that I have them on this list is because I actually use these vendors. I have ordered hundreds of dollars, or in some cases, thousands of dollars of product from these various vendors.
Amazon.com* – is one of my favorite shopping experiences. They have a wide range of items in a broad set of categories. I purchase everything from organic food items, to hard drives from amazon.

Newegg.com* | Monoprice.com | MyCableMart.com |
I use MyCableMart when I need local same-day pickup in Eden Prairie, MN. This is very useful for last minute items, or emergency replacement items.
EyeBuyDirect.com* – It is possible to get eyeglasses at a much lower price than $300 or $400 at the local stores. I am planning on purchasing 2 pair from this company when I get a chance. I’ll write a blog entry about the experience when it happens.
**DISCLAIMER: THERE ARE AFFILIATE LINKS ON THESE PAGES. If you buy from these vendors, I earn a small commission from them. Please support me by purchase with these links.
